A thoughtful check-in.
A clear update.
Every client’s home and priorities are different. Your home portfolio includes a checklist tailored to your property, season, and agreed scope.
View a sample checklist
- Doors and windows: Check agreed entry points for visible concerns.
- Leaks and weather damage: Look for visible water intrusion, leaks, or storm damage in accessible areas.
- Refrigerators and freezers: Review accessible temperature displays or agreed thermometers, note alerts, and look for signs of lost cooling.
- Heating and cooling: Review thermostat settings and accessible status indicators for the furnace, heat pump, central AC, or individual AC units, as applicable. Note unusual conditions and coordinate service when needed.
- Water heater and plumbing: Look for visible leaks, status alerts, or other concerns around accessible equipment and plumbing.
- Other agreed home systems: Review accessible sump pump, dehumidifier, and leak sensor indicators, along with any owner-provided monitoring alerts, where applicable.
- Smoke and carbon monoxide alarms: Note visible status or low-battery alerts, review available replacement dates, and coordinate manufacturer-recommended testing, battery changes, or alarm replacement as agreed with the client.
- After a power outage: When safe access is confirmed, review accessible appliance displays, thermostat settings, Wi-Fi connectivity, and system alerts. Coordinate agreed resets or qualified service when needed.
- Plant care: Water indoor plants and outdoor containers according to the client’s instructions and agreed visit schedule.
- Seasonal and outdoor needs: Review agreed outdoor areas and coordinate maintenance, vendor access, deliveries, or arrival preparations.
- Vehicle care coordination: Coordinate vehicle startup, battery maintenance, and scheduled service in line with manufacturer guidance and the owner’s written instructions.
- Your visit update: Share photos, observations, and any items that need the client’s attention or a qualified service provider.
Examples include, but are not limited to, the items above. Tasks and visit frequency are tailored to each client, property, and season. Post-outage visits are scheduled separately and are subject to access and availability. Routine observations do not certify alarm performance or code compliance. Technical testing, electrical work, and repairs are handled by qualified providers; any routine alarm checks or device resets follow manufacturer instructions and the agreed scope. Vehicle services are agreed separately. Visits are not a technical home inspection or a guarantee that every issue will be detected.
